when i saw this story on ew.com, i just about lost my lunch (afternoon coffee, whatevs). not only do i despise elizabeth hasselbeck, i highly dislike kate gosselin as well. apparently, this morning on the view, hassel went off on kate, saying she should "get a job". after one of her co-lady-hosts tried to point out that her job is the show, books, etc (as stoo-pid as that may be...) hassely squeeched "i don't care!" it's like a battle of the idiots over who is more idiotic over there...im not such a barbara walters fan...i don't hate her either, but sometimes i find that she's the only vaguely competant person on that show. anyhow, barb apparently said that "if you have more than five children, you shouldn't be allowed to get divorced."
allowed?? maybe the issue is that these people had no business of having eight children in the first place! bah! any thoughts from my friends out there?
PS to hassely - what is YOUR job?! you were on survivor once, married a football player and somehow i should care about your opinions?
i have no thoughts on the matter.

so here's my take...when the country is in a serious economic recession, and this woman has a way (however convoluted) of making a living, even if it's by publicly displaying her disaster of a marriage and poor parenting skills for all the world to see--isn't it inappropriate for the person interviewing her to suggest that she "get a job" ?!?!

you're 100% correct, as far as i can see. as much as i think it's insane what they did - have 8 kids and then subject their lives to complete public scrutiny - yes, it's a job and it's for the money...
